Construction Project Engineer

The right candidate for this position will perform tasks in support of the Project Manager, Superintendent, and the project.

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ENGINEER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Project Manager in establishing the project’s baseline schedule and maintaining the monthly updates.
Prepare daily reporting.
Assist with project purchasing.
Support job site crews and manage subcontractors.
Assist with development and delivery of the project submittals, RFI’s and other paperwork.
Attend project meetings as required.
Identify and track project changes.
Assist with the implementation of all applicable safety programs, policies and procedures.
Interact with inspectors and customer representatives.
Manage document control process and follow through with proper procedures.
Work with Estimating team by performing take offs and sourcing/managing material and equipment quotes.
Perform other duties as required and assigned.

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ENGINEER SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

Based in the Conroe, TX area
Must travel (multi-state) and work from jobsite location
BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
0-5 years of heavy civil construction experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD software a plus
Detail oriented, persistent, flexible, task driven, multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Field Safety Coordinator

We are looking to hire a full-time Field Safety Coordinator reporting to our Conroe, Tx location for Huxted Trenchless, LLC to assist the Corporate Safety Team with implementation/application of all required federal and corporate safety policies. Promote a safe working environment by helping to minimize risk. Monitor jobsites and shops to eliminate hazardous activities.

FIELS SAFETY COORDINATOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform site safety audits.
Provide/schedule necessary safety training to employees.
Maintain all safety training records.
Perform accident/near miss investigations. This will include root cause analysis.
Mitigation of all identified hazards.
Confirm that all confined space monitors are maintained and calibrated.
Maintain safety supply stock and order when necessary.
Manage the company safety assets.
Provide requested safety equipment in the field.
On-boarding and orientation of all new employees.
Help maintain compliance and qualification requirements (ISNetworld, Energy Worldnet, Veriforce, etc.).
Point of contact for all accident/incident reporting and communication to corporate office.
Review weekly toolbox talks with employees. Lead all morning start-up meetings.
Visit jobsites on an as needed basis.
Communicate with jobs and shops regularly to make sure needs are fulfilled.
Create all job-specific site safety plans prior to start of job.

FIELD SAFETY COORDINATOR SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Good people skills with a “team player” mentality
2-3 years of industry experience
Computer skills (MS Office)
OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, CHST or other is helpful
Compliance management experience is helpful
Ability to travel to jobsites
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is beneficial
Valid DL and clean driving record with the ability to be added to our insurance
